2008 Annual Meeting and Fumigation
Written by Mike Dodge

In December, 2008, the Lodge held it's usual Annual Communication and "Fumigation".  This is a yearly event, and the photos are in the Lodge Photo Album.

Bro. James T. McWain, RW Grand Junior Warden, attended on behalf on MWGM Robert J. Stika (who was attending the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania), and received the visiting delegations.

As usual, lunch was homemade oyster stew, prepared by WB John O. Brandt, Jr., WB Dean E. Bunnell, and Bro. Robert B. Parker, and served by the ladies of Betty Putnam Chapter #106, OES.  Our Eastern Star Ladies also provide homemade apple pies, which is topped off with Vermont cheddar cheese supplied by MW Cedric L. Smith, MWPGM of VT and Grand Secretary.

Following lunch, the Brothers returned to the Lodge room for the "fumigation".  The cigars were distributed, and all lit up at the appropriate time.  During the fumigation WB Theodore C. Rupar was elected to succeed RW John S. Rhoads for WB Rupar's second term in the East.

Following elections a semi-public Installation of Officers was held with MW Stanley S. Sheldon, Jr. acting as Installing Officer.

All the pictures are in the Lodge Photo Album.
